A Frozen themed birthday party? Sure, why not!! My daughter, like every other child on the planet. is obsessed with Frozen. The movie, soundtrack, merchandise, apparel-it’s ALL FROZEN ALL THE TIME. Any other moms so ready to just “LET IT GO?” But, of course not before a Frozen themed birthday party. We decided this year not to do a big birthday party (I have a tendency to go overboard sometimes lol) and just have a small get together with immediate family and a few of our best friends in our building. But, still it had to be Frozen.
The night before her birthday, my husband and I snuck into her room and left 2 dozen Frozen pink and purple balloons. She loved it!
The Cake!
Isabella loves Olaf so we decided it would be an Olaf cake. Here is the final product!
I had such a blast making this, Isabella loved it, and it was really easy to make, using a large baking pan and 3 boxes of cake mix. I don’t usually use boxed cake mixes, but when doing a cake like this I do so that I can make my life easier and spend the time decorating the cake. Found this yummy, organic cake mix at Perelandra , located in Brooklyn Heights. It was delicious and much better for you than some of the other cake mixes available out there.
After baking the cake and letting it cool. I iced the entire cake white. I made the sand by combining graham crackers and coconut sugar in a food processor. Super easy!
Layer the “sand” over the white icing and press down with a small spatula.
To make the water, I swirled natural blue food coloring into the white icing with a spatula. Piped some white decorating icing around the edges and it was done!
The Olaf and umbrella fondant figurines were purchased on Etsy shop Silvacreations. Great service, shipped super fast. and were awesome!
The Goody Bags included Frozen stickers, hair clips for the girls, Olaf pins, and a kit to make your own snowman:
A gift for her birthday from her aunt. Get’s cold up on the rooftop in Brooklyn in Summer 🙂
Hope this inspires you to create your own Frozen themed party for your little ones! And check out my Annie Inspired themed Party!
