I was lucky enough to get an invite last night to the amazing Momtrends BTS Bash at the Indigo Hotel in NYC. This annual event brings together fabulous bloggers and great brands…and it was a lot of fun!
I know it’s hard to believe we are already talking about back to school especially because my daughter has the longest summer vacation EVER!- but , yes, it will be here before we know it. And I was super excited to get a sneak peek at some great BTS goodies and to share them with you! Here are some of the highlights:
Stride Rite showcased their Made 2 Play line and it’s fantastic! First of all, the whole line is machine washable. That’s enough of a reason in itself to buy them. But, there’s more. Memory foam insoles ( always been a fan of memory foam since my product development days) make them super comfy. And all styles are easy on, easy off for your child-which will make getting out of the house in hectic school mornings a little easier.
Ever have to go through the giant , seemingly endless black hole of a lost and found box at your kid’s school? Yeah, me too. Last year we lost a brand new school logo hoodie on day 3. Any idea how many school logo hoodies in the same size and color can be in one box? I now label EVERYTHING! And Mabel’s labels are laundry, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Available in personalized or blank for you to write on yourself. Bag tags are another fantastic little item. One of the most important reasons to support this awesome company? It was founded and is owned moms, one of which I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know last night. I am always passionate about supporting other women in business and life.
WallPops is fun & fabulous removable and reusable art for your walls. Fun and colorful collections for baby, kids, tweens, home, and office. My daughter wants her room a different theme every other week. These decals are a fun, easy way to switch up your decor with minimal effort. And they wont damage your walls. I also loved the dry erase maps, message boards, and calendars (I am going to get my life organized…any. day. now)! But, my favorite product was the Peel and Stick Wallpaper! How ingenious is that?? Goes up easily and peels off in one sheet. I’m already scouting out patterns for an accent wall in my bedroom!
“It’s all about keeping a little girl…a little girl. Keeping her youthful. Keeping her spinning and twirling and carefree. And most importantly, bringing her happiness.” – Denise DeMarchis, designer and founder.
And when you see this adorable line, that’s exactly what you see. Having been in the fashion industry for almost 20 years in my “past life”, I am always drawn to great use of print, color, and fabrication. Matilda Jane does all three beautifully. One of the highlights of the night was the Matilda Jane girls fashion show. But, it’s not just for the kids. They also have great pieces for women.
I also love the direct sales business model. The line is only available through “trunk keepers”, which really focuses on the relationships women have and personal service to the consumer. Having moved from the corporate world to a home-based business myself, I love that they help women find the work/life balance.
